POST 5: FOOD

One of the foods that I definitely enjoy a lot, are chickpeas. I remember that before I became a vegetarian, approximately 5 years ago, I did not eat many vegetables or legumes, I said that I did not like them even though there were many that I had not tried. When I stopped having meat as an element of my plate, I had to enrich my meals with other types of food, I increased the vegetables and forced myself to try many of them, I discovered that they are delicious and now they are never lacking in my meals. On the other hand, I had to consume protein, I liked soy meat but I couldn't always have it in my meals, so I started to include legumes. When I was little I don't remember having tried chickpeas until one day I asked my mom to cook them and I remember that day very well, I found them so delicious that I said to my mom: "why have you never prepared it before?!"
Since that day it is one of my favorite dishes, and what I like the most is that it is a nutritious and very versatile food, I can eat it stewed, as a salad, sometimes I also eat it alone with rice, and also as hummus and some snack . But definitely my favorite way to eat them, it's my mom's recipe, her hands are sacred and the way of cooking it's a blessing haha ​​thank you chickpeas for existing and thank you mom for cooking them so well
